"I eat cake because it's somebody's birthday somewhere" - some smart person
Hello! I'm Gaby and I'm a twenty year old student who loves cooking and baking and I can't forget the best part... eating! For most of the year, I live in Lennoxville which is a teeny tiny town in Quebec, where I am usually cooking dinners for friends, getting lost running on back roads, studying for some businessy class, or parading around in a Gaiter costume. For the rest of the year, I'm back home in Ottawa eating sandwiches, doing yoga and riding my bike.
I started this blog the spring of my first year at Bishop's University, just after I had finished my final exams and was so ecstatic I took the plunge and started a cooking blog. To read a little more about why I started this blog, read my first post. Since then, I also studied abroad in Normandy, France and travelled all over while there, so if that type of thing floats your boat check out my travel section.
In the past couple of years I have somehow ended up in crazy cooking situations from living with a kitchen the size of a carry-on suitcase to navigating foreign streets for hours in search of the perfect ice cream cone, so please follow along as I try to cook for myself and make a few too many desserts along the way!
